Facebook sa di più sulla tua vita personale a differenza di quello che probabilmente pensi.
Con l’intenzione di aumentare le operazioni di pubblicità della società, Facebook fa tutto il possibile per tenere le traccia degli utenti attraverso il web sia all’ interno o al di fuori di Facebook.

La società crea un elenco dei dati personali che includono eventi importanti della vita e gli interessi generali dei suoi membri. Per anni, questi dettagli sono stati nascosti, ma l’azienda ha finalmente reso pubblico i suoi interessi, facebook rilasciato un nuovo obiettivo “educativo”. Questi strumenti rivelano 98 tipi di dati personali che Facebook utilizza per indirizzare e soddisfare gli utente. Questi dati vengono poi utilizzati per vendere pubblicità.

Ci sono un sacco di informazioni evidenti che Facebook sa sui suoi utenti, ad esempio se sei in vacanza, se sei in procinto di essere padre, …ecc. La maggior parte di questi dati sono raccolti quando la gente li pubblica volontariamente nei propri profili. Ma ci sono altre cose che sicuramente non sono evidenti, come ad esempio il numero di carta di credito, i siti che visitate e così via.

La fine che fanno questi dati è un po’ tragica perchè vengono venduti agli inserzionisti, per una pubblicità mirata. Le ipotesi che la società può fare non sono sempre corrette, ma non importa la privacy degli altri in confronto al guadagno.
